Induction Programme for First-Year PG Students (2026–27)
The Department of Library & Information Science, Farook College (Autonomous), organized an Induction Programme for the first-year postgraduate students on 1 July 2026 at 9.30 a.m. The programme warmly welcomed the new batch and introduced them to the department's academic environment, activities, and opportunities.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr. T. P. O. Nasirudheen, Former Head of the Department, and featured a keynote address by Mr. Humayoon Kabeer P., Chief Librarian, Jamia Nadawiyya, Edavanna, who shared valuable insights on the evolving role of Library and Information Science professionals and career opportunities in the field.
The event was presided over by Dr. Vahida Beegam T., Head of the Department, with felicitations from faculty members and the College Librarian. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Haseena V. K., Assistant Professor. The session inspired the students to begin their postgraduate journey with confidence, enthusiasm, and a commitment to academic excellence.

One day training program on Enhancing library's web presence with blog
The department of Library and Information Science organises one day training program on Enhancing library's web presence with blog on 10th June 2022 for post graduate students. This workshop aims at skills in content management and creating own personal brand among library professionals. Mr. Mahesh pallamuttath was the resource person.
